QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What is the move-in special?
We define the move in special as: $1 for the rest of the month. Example: if you move in on the 1st of the month, it’s only $1 for the rest of the month. If you move in on the 15th of the month, it’s only $1 for the remaining days in that month, and so on.
Can I pay cash?
Yes, but a receipt can only be emailed or sent by text message after posting payment. If this poses a problem, you may pay with a Money Order that is filled in Payable to Bills Self Storage, or pay by Check or Credit Card.
How high are the ceilings and tell me more about the doors?
The ceilings are 8 ft high, and our small spaces have 3 ft doors, while all the others have 8 ft doors.
What options are available for locks?
We rent locks monthly, or you may bring your own lock. We also sell keyed locks. The space MUST be locked if items are in the space.
How and when do I get my security deposit refund?
We require 30 days notice of move out. If you owe no balance, leave no trash, the space is broom clean as you found it, and you have left your forwarding address in the drop box we will refund your Security Deposit. Don’t forget to leave your forwarding address in the drop box!
Where is my rented space?
The building letters are on the ends of the buildings and the number are over the doors.
Does Bill’s Self Storage insure my items?
No. However, insurance is available as an add-on option, or you may add the items to your homeowner’s insurance policy.
Can I move in for $1.00 and move out before the following 1st & only pay $1.00?
No, you will owe a month’s rent or forfeit your security deposit. You are required to give 30 days notice of move out to receive your Security Deposit refund.
What does 24/7 mean?
It means I will rent you a storage unit any day, any time, and you can move in immediately after renting. We do have a No Alcohol policy, and you must be quiet. No loud music or vehicles. Respect our neighbors, please.
Can gate access be restricted?
Yes, excessive or suspicious entry and exit. Leaving trash and spinning tires may result in restricted access.
Does BSS pro-rate rent?
No, with very few exceptions. I do not rent by the day. If it becomes necessary to pro-rate, the process is: Divide rent by 12 and multiply by the number of days.
What does 24 hr Service and Access mean?
It means the Self-Service Rental Center is always open for your needs, and I try to answer the phone anytime it rings. I will rent you a storage space on Christmas Day. However, it does not mean you can call me at midnight to ask how much you owe or what my gate code is. That is done during normal business hours.
